Airborne training devices -- a jump tower and aircraft-- at this installation near Pushkin reveal that it housed the Soviet 3rd Airborne Brigade. The brigade, formed in 1932, was the first such unit in the Red Army. The unit most likely used the airfield at Pushkin.
